conveyancer.in is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME, ABN if applicable] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry form we collect the details you provide: your name, property suburb or postcode, state, stage of sale, and a mobile number or email address. We also record which page and button the enquiry came from, the time of submission, a hashed form of your IP address, and your browser type, which we use for fraud prevention and reporting.
Like most websites we use analytics tools (via Google Tag Manager) that collect standard usage information such as pages visited and general location. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Why we collect it
We collect enquiry details for one purpose: to refer you to the service you asked about. Conveyancing enquiries are referred to a licensed conveyancing partner for your state. Pay at settlement enquiries are referred to Property.Credit. We also use aggregated, de-identified information to understand which pages and tools are useful.
Who we share it with
When you submit a form with the consent box ticked, the details you entered are passed to the relevant partner so they can contact you about your enquiry: a licensed conveyancing partner for conveyancing enquiries, or Property.Credit for funding enquiries. Each partner handles your information under their own privacy policy from that point, and we encourage you to read it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months for reconciliation with our partners and for fraud prevention, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your record earlier at any time.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at privacy@conveyancer.in and we will respond within 30 days.
Storage and security
Enquiry records are stored on Australian-hosted infrastructure with access limited to the site operator. IP addresses are stored only in hashed form.
