Estimate transfer duty on a Brisbane property purchase, including first home buyer concessions and surcharges. Rates for contracts in 2026–27.
Your transaction must be lodged within 30 days of liability arising. In practice duty is paid at or before settlement.
No duty on new homes or vacant land at any price (contracts from 1 May 2025). Established homes: no duty to $700,000, phasing out at $800,000.
Additional foreign acquirer duty of 8% applies on residential land, on top of transfer duty.
